Frequently Asked Questions

How can I request to have a salsa class/performance/DJing by Salseros Dance Company at my event?
We would be happy to provide a performance, class, or DJing at your event! Please send us a message through our contact form. We have extensive experience performing in the Eugene community and beyond and we offer competitive rates.

Do I need to have a partner for the class/ dance?
No partner is needed to attend our classes or events. We rotate partners during the class so you’ll have a chance to dance with everyone.

What if I have never taken a dance class before?
Anyone, regardless of their age or dance experience can learn how to dance salsa. Our classes start at the very beginning level, and we always explain each step slowly and in an understandable way.

What should I wear to the class/ to the dance?
For the class, we recommend that you wear something that is comfortable. Please wear shoes that are comfortable and that you are able to pivot in. For ladies, you may want to start with flat shoes and then move up to wearing heels.

Where can I buy dance shoes?
While it is not necessary to purchase dance shoes for class or our social dances, if you would like to invest in buying yourself a pair of salsa shoes, this can often help with your dancing. You can purchase shoes at Dancer’s Closet in Eugene or the Glass Slipper in Portland & Corvallis. You can also purchase shoes online at a variety of different websites.

How much do classes cost?

Our classes are $50 for a four-week session, $45 if pre-registered, and $40 if pre-registered and paid in advance. We also offer private lessons, which have a variety of pricing packages available.

How do I sign up?
